I grew up with the white version of this rolling pin, and LOVE it. The marble doesn't stick to anything, and it stays nice and cool to help with finicky dough, such as pastry. The weight makes rolling out everything from cookies to pizza dough a snap. The only thing I can be picky about is the aesthetic. I wish since they went to the work to find a beautiful dark marble that they'd bothered to lacquer the handles and base in black as well, but of course that doesn't effect the awesome functionality one bit. Definitely would recommend this to any baker.

I have a bad arm and I have trouble pushing with my right hand. So I thought "I'll try this!" Don't have to use my right arm at all. I can place the pin on the dough and push it with my fingers. Ta da! The weight rolls the dough for you. This is great for everyone but if you are less than perfect in the strength department this is the answer. Nothing sticks to this pin. I bought the mat and the pin and I am in seventh heaven because I did. I can bake cookies to my heart content and watch my family enjoy.
