Received rolling pin and prior to using it, realized it was off balance; which will cause it to leave waves in the dough, as you roll it out. After taking it apart, I noticed that the metal rod that connected to one of the handles was bent; which made the handle fit on crooked.For the price and the materials, it would have been a great deal; however, I prefer my dough to be flat.

I already had one of those non-stick rolling pins from Kitchenaid which worked ok, but since I just purchased a nice, large marble mat to roll out my pastries, I thought I'd buy the matching marble rolling pin to go with it. I like the idea of having marble since it stays fairly cool and that's what's needed when rolling out pie crusts, etc.This rolling pin is just wonderful. I'm glad that I spent the money on it. It's very heavy and so makes the chore of rolling a bit easier on your arms, and the marble stays cool along with the marble mat I use. The pin comes with a nice holder too which is an added bonus. If you're looking for your first rolling pin, I highly recommend a marble one like this. You'll not regret buying it, and as long as you don't drop it, I'm sure it will last a lifetime.

I don't have a need for a rolling pin very often, so I wanted to get one that was low priced. I did not expect to get something that was also so nice. It is really beautiful. It is full sized. It has a lot of weight to it which I think makes the rolling easier. Because it is stone, you can refrigerate it before use and it will help to keep sticky cookie dough managable. Win!
