Cooking is something new for me. After a recent fight with pizza dough I decided to got a rolling pin. I got marble because I thought the dough might not stick to marble and that there might be an advantage to the weight. Dough still sticks but the added weight means I don't have to apply pressure so the dough thickness is more consistent. Nice advantage. The pin comes with a nice marble stand and it looks as good in the kitchen as it works. The metal handles feel good when rolling out the dough. If I drop and break it I'd buy another.

Received this item pretty fast, box was torn. Opened the box the rollong pin was in. Was not packaged well at all. the rollong pin, the handles did not turn, and the marblr stand that came with it was cracked in half. Just sent it back last week, Amazon gave me a refund. Ordered a nea one which I received yesterday. Same packaging, same problem, stand was broke in half, and this time it looks like the rolling pin was cracked. This one will also be going back, and I won't order another.

Hard, heavy, high quality marble rolling pin. I bought it specifically for rolling out fondant, as the hand fondant rollers killed my wrists. I was excited to see how easily it made my task, even if it did make the fondant a little less pliable.
