Doesn't stick, even when rolling out yeast bread dough for rolls, etc. It is a snap to clean also. When they go back on sale, I will be buying one for each of my daughters.

I didn't bother to disassemble it to uncover hidden secrets, but I can tell you that at 18" and totally non-stick, this rolling pin is perfect for pastry. I used to cover my wooden rolling pin with Saran Wrap, which helped a little, but this is so much easier. Highly recommend it for bakers.

You should not see how sausage is made, and you should not see what is inside your rolling pin. I purchased several of these rolling pins for use as rollers on an out-feed table for my table saw. They are cheap and made of metal so I think they will make great rollers for my purpose. I took one apart to see what was inside and what it is made of. The roller is a piece of rolled steel tubing coated with a nonstick coating. The inside of the steel tubing is not coated at all and is rusty on the 6 I have. Now that is OK with me as I am going to use mine for industrial use. In theory rust on the inside should not matter as the food should not come in contact with the inside. Just do not immerse the rolling pin in water or put it in the dishwasher as it will rust even more once it is wet inside. Just thought someone planning on using the roller for it's intended purpose of rolling out dough might like to know what is inside. Other than the bare metal rusting interior of the rolling tube the coated steel exterior should work great, put it in the freezer for a few minutes or leave it in the frig overnight and you'll have a cold rolling pin. The box is labeled "made in Taiwan" hmmmmmmmm .. the box maybe but I'll take bets the rolling pin was made in ole' China proper and they just forgot which China they were in when they put them in the box. So you see how we all benefit from globalization. Rusty cars are melted down into steel for tubing and we get them back as rusty rolling pins. Ain't the free market and capitalism great .... duh!!!!
