The rolling pin is very functional and arrived in a very timely manner. It was a good value, but I also paid for quick delivery. I purchased it for my Mom as a Christmas gift. (Her sentimental one had broken) When it arrived, there were a few nicks in the edge of the marble. My Mom did not believe they would interfere with the function and was happy with the gift. As a gift giver, you want the gift to be free of flaws.

I ordered the rolling pin for my wife for her birthday and upon receipt of it we noticed that about 1/3 of the pin had a wider diameter than the rest. I then requested a return through Amazon and promptly got my money back but it took two weeks to receive a shipping label. When I received the shipping label it just had their address and said that I would have to pay for postage to return the item. Considering this item is so heavy that's not going to be cheap either so I feel that this is ridiculous that I have to pay to return a heavy item that was defective from the day I received it. All in all a very bad and slow experience.

The inner cylindrical hole that the rod goes through with the handles was not centered. As a result, rolling it out is not smooth, and it has damaged my delicate croissant dough. It wasn't worth sending back either since you have to pay for shipping :(
